“Over these two thousand years, how many pages of history have been written by Christians who, in utter simplicity and humility, and with generous and creative charity, have served their poorest brothers and sisters!”

—Pope Francis

On Sunday, November 19th, between 9:30am and 1:00pm, we invite you to stop by Lynch Hall to visit our Social Outreach Mini Fair!

November 19th is the first World Day of the Poor and Pope Francis calls us all to be generous this day.

So if you have ideas, input — or a gift, talent or passion that you wish to share, we want to know!

Volunteers from Lourdes Food Bank, St Vincent de Paul, and Development & Peace will be there, as well as Bill Hatch, the parish’s new Social Outreach Coordinator.

Come for a coffee, stay for the conversation — there will be giveaways and even a raffle! All ages and abilities are welcome.

In anticipation of the first World Day of the Poor, we invite you to reflect and pray on the themes in the document of the imperative to love that comes from being the Father’s beloved and of the centrality of being a community of love.
