28th Sunday (Note & Bulletin)

On this mountain the Lord of hosts will make for all peoples a feast of rich food, a fest of well-aged wines... This is the Lord for whom we have waited; let us be glad and rejoice in God’s salvation. This weekend, we join with other Canadians in giving thanks for the blessings we receive. Gratitude is probably the "biggest" of the virtues – it takes up a lot of space! If we genuinely have a sense of thankfulness in our hearts, then there is little room left for envy, pride and selfishness. Real gratitude also bears fruit. It reminds us that all we have is a gift and that what we have been freely given we are to share generously with others. The Lord has made a feast for ALL PEOPLES; let us not rest until there is room at the table for all of God's Children. For the many blessings and graces God has given to our Parish Community, let us be truly thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving!
