Feast Day Photos

Here are a few pictures from the Feast Day (Our Lady of Lourdes) celebration on February 11th, which Fr John wanted to share with you.

Sacrament of Confirmation Preparation

Our Lady of Lourdes Parish will soon be offering Sacrament of Confirmation preparation classes for young people in grades 7 through 12. If your son or daughter is currently enrolled at Our Lady of Lourdes School, he or she will be registered through the school.

Fasting & Abstinence during Lent

As Catholics we are aware of the practices of fasting and of abstinence. Fasting is about how much or how little food we take in over a period of time. Abstinence has to do with the kinds of foods we deny ourselves (eg meat, chocolate).

Family Day

The 3rd Monday in February is a statutory holiday called “Family Day”. Schools will be closed, as will many offices, including our Parish Office. While it is a civic holiday it is an opportunity to reflect on the gift and importance of families. It is from our families that we first learn about our faith and about the faithful and saving love of God.
