Christmas Schedule 2014 (Updated)

If you haven’t already, be sure to pick up a copy of our Advent and Christmas Schedule, available at the entrances of the church and from our Parish Office. The schedule includes the Mass times for Christmas and New Year’s as well as our Reconciliation Service and Confession times throughout Advent.


Euthanasia, Bill Q-52, and You

Join us on Thursday, December 18th at 7pm in the Library for a talk by former National Post reporter Charlie Lewis on Euthanasia, the movement to legalize it here in Canada and the Roman Catholic perspective. Learn what our faith has to say on this important ethical and social reality and don’t miss what will be a thought-provoking discussion.


Installation of Fans

As you may know, some of the money raised from the car raffle will go to the installation of fans in the church. This work is scheduled to take place next week. Please be careful in the church while the work is being done. We thank you for your understanding, cooperation and your patience.


Our Lady of Lourdes 2015 Kia Sportage Car Raffle

With two and a half weeks left before the big draw, here’s how we are doing compared to last year. We had a real boost in ticket distribution this week and momentum is picking up. We're only 670 tickets behind where we were last year, and every ticket counts, sell just one more book! Thank you to everyone who has helped out by buying or selling tickets so far!


3rd Advent Sunday

​​The patron saint of my university is John the Baptist. When you entered the school’s church, the first thing encountered was a modern representation of John the Baptist. The artist did not try and produce a “life-like” statue. I remember that he seemed somewhat strange – he was extremely tall, wore little clothing, carried a large staff and seemed to have a wild face.


Exchange Library of Spiritual Reading Bring One – Take One

Check out our new Exchange Library of Spiritual Reading Material located in Bernadette Hall. Discover something waiting just for you and take it home. If you have books on faith and spirituality at home that you would like give away, bring them in and leave them for someone to find. Share the wealth of good spiritual reading with one another!


Sunday Missals for 2015

The new Liturgical Year begins on Sunday, November 30, with the 1st Sunday of Advent. The new missals will then be in the pews. If you would like your own copy to take home with you, copies for purchase –$4.00 each— are available at our Welcome Desk in Bernadette Hall during the weekend and from our Parish Office during the week.
