5th Lenten Sunday (Note & Bulletin)

In the first few years of entering the Jesuits, I, along with the other young Jesuits, often had to speak at different gatherings sharing why we chose to become Jesuits. We gave our “Vocation Story” to help others who were considering entering religious life or to those who support the formation of Jesuits.

Easter Plant Donations

Those who wish to donate Spring and Easter plants and flowers for our church décor for the Easter Season are invited to bring them to the church during the week of Monday, March 30 to Friday, April 3. A table will be set up by the Sacristy door all week for you to place them on. Our Décor team begins preparations early Saturday morning and works all through the day.

Choir Information

Calling all singers who would like to participate in the choirs for our Holy Thursday 7:30pm Mass and Good Friday 3pm Service, we want you to help raise our voices. Several rehearsals have been scheduled:

Altar of Repose

At the end of the Holy Thursday Mass the Blessed Sacrament is carried in procession through the church. The church is emptied of the Eucharistic bread which is carried and placed in an Altar of Repose where we will enter into a period of solemnity and adoration before the Eucharist.

4th Lenten Sunday (Note & Bulletin)

Lent is a time of renewal for the whole Church, for each communities and every believer. Above all it is a "time of grace" (2 Cor 6:2). God does not ask of us anything that he himself has not first given us. "We love because he first has loved us" (1 Jn 4:19). He is not aloof from us. Each one of us has a place in his heart.

Solidarity Sunday

Today, March 15th we celebrate Solidarity Sunday. Each year during Lent, Canadian Catholics are invited to stand in solidarity with communities in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East who are struggling for dignity and justice. We have so much love to give.

3rd Lenten Sunday (Note & Bulletin)

In one of my favourite prayers by Saint Ignatius of Loyola, the “Anima Christi,” there is a line that reads, “Do not allow me to be separated from you.” I love this line because it expresses both the hope and fear we have in our lives of faith. We hope that the Lord will always be with us.
